hoppybogan (26240km): Stansbury, SA, AU N-NNW gusting to 30+ F2 SXs 90, GPS 5.8, 24 UFL weedy Great time on the water with Tricky today. 15-20 whilst rigging ,then picked up nicely to 20-30. Ran out of energy for a while but got a second wind and did some alphas. Richard was faster, well done! Best sail in a long time.
Sammy (43276km): Had a great couple of days sailing and ended up going back to bog for another sail and a sit by the fire. Wind was early so i was on the water by 8am. Had a blast with lots of people sailing in the gusty challenging conditions. Happy with the day and also that i never stacked it in the massive chop today. Worn out well and truly :-). Carl also was cranking in the chop that he loves. I left him to it and he is still sailing ha ha.
Tricky Bogan (22022km): WOW WOW WOW cant remember the last time I wend SPEEEEEEEEEEEED Sailing Rigged the 6.3 Loft Racing Blade on the Isonic86 with the CWSSW 27 Rigged for Guts & Glory, & it was all guts & No glory Was way over powerd in the gusts but super comfy in the lulls with wind Gusting from 20 - 30, Later in the session it got worse 15 - 33. Been a long time since I had to sit in the water holding the sail down waiting for a lull to take off. Sudda rigged the 5.6 think I wouda been faster just couldnt hold down the rig on the bearaways into the slop, got a bit bum clenching riding on the edge. The wind gust dropped & we cranked in a couple of alpha's befor headding in as the wind was dropping, by the time we derigged it was down to 10-12knts. Just as well we quit in time. Hoppy was leaving me in his spray when the wind was up. Bunta Session. Did have a 36.6 on the screen but just could'nt hold it down long enought
Captain bogan (50690km): Day 2 of overnight road trip to boggy lake. Glad to see Sam could stay and have a run. Sam had to leave early so he went out without bacon and eggs and i had to eat feeling a little queezy from the day before. The wind was firing early and went out for a 1 hour. Very hard 1 hour very choppy in the middle the ankles were burning but i had to finish it. After finishing i attempted to head back to shore for a drink but wind suddenly dropped - typical northerly. Glugged for a little while on small gear and walked the last bit.
Had a drink and the wind swung north west and cranked. Managed 2 runs in pshyco gusty, choppy conditions and made my way back to shore when suddenly i must have touched a rail and cartwheel on my sail bending my neck and knee back and caught my nose and lip on something with blood running. Decided to call it after this. Was a great weekend with Yetti, Nicola, Leon, Sam and of course little Gordy the dog. Boggy lake - 10 to 30+ Patrik 87 / 5.6m gun sails gsr / Select s07 29cm.
