Lyds (10267km): Teralba, NSW, AU, Exocet RS4, Naish 7.0 / Overdrive 6.7, 40 Sting - started out nice and windy but very patchy, kicked in nicely around lunch. Changed down from my 7.0 to the 6.7 Overdrive and it was so much faster (unbelievable) it's not until you play with your gear that you realise what is fast and what is not. The naish has great bottom end but no real top end speed. Then the wind really kicked in and I was out of my league gusting over 30 so I called it a day......... I really need to get a good fin around 36/37 for the RS4 if anyone is selling any.....
Andrew Haigh (50238km): Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU FF79 the F2 Speed board with Maui TR9 6.6m Great Day at Peelie. Must ahve been nearly 20 guys out. Fairly choppy compared to last week so tried to concentrate on Alpha and NMs. Wind improved thoughout the day, but a bit patchy for mile runs. Finally picked up enough for the speed board and first run gave me the PB. Great to see so many people out.

Byron Mcilveen (64411km): Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU RS2 exocet slalom board, maui TR11 6.6, home made fin started out no wind for ages howling every where but there like normal. but lucky it swung to the west and in it came. tried the 19 delta and would have killed myself if I kept going so put my own design in straight away multiple runs over 39 knots on slalom board so happy with that. should have gone for nautical but didnt try would have been good for that. heaps out and great to sail with every one.

sboardcrazy (25098km): crutches Quorrobolong, NSW, AU - GPS did silly buggers I didn't go that far..A pB for crutches! Couldn't get left behind by all you guys..
Steve Walsh (4027km): First time sailing budgie and with a weed fin. Nice to meet a bunch of new guys stoked on the sport. Can see massive potential for speeds at this place. Just need to get a nice weed fin now to take advantage of it. |
