Somehow this got lost in the transition between teams. My last post as a USA speedster before going back to the West Coast team.

Roo, as usual and as expected, nice numbers Laughing

Looked at the Stevenson wind chart - wind variation was much less, and much more to my taste than the gusty westerlies at the Waterfront Park. May have to rethink my 'no east wind sailing' attitude. Curious why you switched down to the SP80 from the Bullet - bigger swells? Or just needed a change?

See you in about 8 months. Was a pleasure getting to know you better, to sail with you, and to meet your wonderful wife, Roberta, and son Julian! I winterized the 'Hilton on wheels' this week and the wife and I are about to head off to Indonesia for 5 weeks of SCUBA diving, then back to Bonaire. Hope to be back on the water in mid-November to work on jibes in choppy water, waterstarting race sails, and maybe topping 30 knots in 18 - 20 knot winds... If I can master these topics, I'll be trying to follow you around on the water next year Laughing.

Barton I hope you enjoy your travels, I would have looked after the Hilton on wheels for you! Was a great summer and fun hanging out together. When I use the 5.6 it suits the SP80 better than the Bullet, each is balanced and trimmed out differently. Today was windier than the reading from the sensor and picked up further after I left.

Awesome 1 hour mate. How long are your runs before you need to gybe?

Thanks TonyP, runs are about 1.25km max, lots of fishing nets to dodge close to the shore.
