Primbee, NSW, AU W to WSW up to 20 knots or so

My first westerly for the year! Started early with Terry and focused on the hour. Good fun, particularly the first half hour, however no smooth water anywhere. The wind got a bit patchy and swung a bit to the south for the second half hour, making long runs down to Primbee impossible.

All in all a good way to start the day with a fun hour.

Primbee, NSW, AU   You had to be there early for the best of the westerly.

Yes I know the same setup.

Primbee, NSW, AU

When you go into something with no expectations sometimes you get a nice surprise. Great way to end my working week.

Hi Terry. I'm curious to know what size fins you're using with the 95ltr Rocket? I've got one on order, arriving in March :) I was thinking about a 29cm and 31cm pointer, and an 18 BP delta. What do you think? Cheers mate.

Hi Nigel, the Rocket is my everything board so I use it on the smooth water and out in the middle in the chop.

I have been using the Maui Ultra X weed for both conditions. The boys down here dont use Deltas but slalom type weed fins,

check the info on their scores. They may supply a pointer fin with the board but I never use them.

I have been using the 22 X-weed for a few years and it is ground down to a 20 but still holds on, sometimes use

the 24 in the heavy stuff out in the middle. There are better fins around for your board than mine, keep looking. Terry.
