Manly, QLD, AU Windfx Rapidfire 6.25, 30 alloy fin.

Big wind, but rough as. Thought I had a better 2 sec than that but as the sail is falling to bits I should be happy with that.Laughing

this posting is better late than never......thank god for Billy....sunday went for a sail with Bill and Ben (not the flower pot men) and while

on the last out run of the day/session started feeling very, very poor....managed to turn around and get back to shore...could hardly stand

let alone walk but maanged 'the walk of shame' back to the car and by that time Billy had arrived back...took one look at me at said 'you don't look

very good'.....he called my wife and not long after she had arrived I was in the back of an ambulance heading to hospital with what...I don't know!

The paramedics did a ECG and appeared to show nothing that bad but on arrival at the hospital and another ECG I supposedily had a 100% blockage

of one of my arteries.....vurtually strait to theatre and a couple of stints later was telling stupid jokes again. A piece of plarque/cholesterol had moved and caused a 100% blockage...talk about luck...not sure if this is good or bad but I'm still thanks to the paramedics and Dr. Starmer.....and of course Billy.

All going well backon the water in about a month.

Could have backed you up Peter, but gps froze up mid session at 27.2 knots and for the life of me could not figure out why I couldn't  improve the max speed as the breeze came in and the water flattened. Great sail though... powered up nicely. CA70, 7.5 , venom as yesterday.

Had just the best sail this afternoon with my mate, Ed, up here at Port Douglas.  Sunshine at a nice steady 17-19 knots.  I really enjoyed my new North S-Type 7.8m sail, running on my isonic 133.  Purchased some shorter [24 inch]harness lines to go with my new waist harness and am just loving the setup.  i go through the whole session without getting catapulted.  I normally get thrown over the front quite a few times but this new set up is so easy to hook into and I seem to be having great control - very happy.  Had some really good runs both in  and out - giving Ed a run for his money.Wink  Seem to have a lot more room to move around on the board, getting used to letting the harness take the weight and use just my arms to move the sail.  Gave it a good couple of hours till a vicious squall moved through.  Ed got another hour out on the water and I really should have joined him.  Had some awesome runs back to shore.  Quietly hoping for a solid season and a few trips off to GI to play with the big boys.  Great to see so many getting out amongst it.
