 First splash for the month. Out with Rob and it was a typical flukey and gusty wind, up and down.After all the rain, most of Smith's is sailable, bar a small area. Wind direction was not ideal, but managed to score a couple of decent runs before it dropped off. SSE 15-20 and some gusts of 22 odd knots. It just freshened as we were going in and I scored a bit more sailing time before heading in.79,27,6.2

South West Rocks, NSW, AU Gusty southerly at Jersyvile. Nice strenght but just droping out big time. Hit a dead fish at 28 knots, turned it into cutlets, near coming off in the process- bit spooky.  93 Type-S, 6,4 Kult

Queens Lake, NSW, AU. Good to get a sail. Southerly 5-15 knots. Patchy at the start, then the cloud cleared and the wind came in more consistent ,so ended up a fun sail.

Really rough sailing wello south side in a very gusty southerly wind , strong wind warning that just didnt happen , glad as it would have been way to rough 

 

Had a great time , Maree sailed really well again in the challenging conditions

Sounds scary Phil! Byron impaled a fish once a 40cm taylor..he considered bringing it in but too hard to carry so left it out there..Smile

Hey Phil, that'll keep you on your toes.   No damage? Plenty of floating flotsam and jetsom about. Not sure if the fish is flotsom or jetsom? Hitting fish in the lake is pretty common. I've hit one that was airborn and it flapped on my chest for a sec or two. Had to laugh.Laughing

Hey Gabe, nah mate no damage, just a nice thump, near nose-dived, then sideways for 10 meters. The fish (40 cm mullet) is beyond help. Probably in a bull sharks gut by now.

 

All the floating logs and junk have swept through. Just left with crap looking water and lots of dead fish.
