2786 days ago 2 categories Kennedy Slicks, Hyannis Port. SSW 20 kn gusting to 23. Falcon 99, SB 7.8. Hard a hard time breaking 30 knots today, even though it felt windy enough. Wind was more southerly than in previous sessions there, so best speed was coming in. High tide meant relatively steady winds, but also very short really flat areas - the wash through the breaks in the pier near shore created quite a bit of swell. Nicely powered, but just could not plane through jibes today - it's amazing how different the Falcon jibes compared to the Warp 71. Funny that I set an alpha PB on exactly the same gear and about the same wind less than 3 months ago. Maybe the pier disturbs the wind a bit more than I thought.
