GW60

Wind: wrong bloody direction! If it had only swung more to the west I would have aced it. Freaky day, never had ARooBar turn on in the summer before. Forecast has been looking good for a week now and it it blew, solid 30 knots all day. Anticipated it would swing to the west, which it eventually did but by then the tide had come in and covered the sandbar. Shouldn't complain, nice 44 peak on the GW60 and a 42.421 2 sec. Did the 100m in 41.086knots, fastest in the USA this year. You could say I'm the fastest windsurfer in the USA for 2017!  https://www.gps-speedsurfing.com/default.aspx?mnu=event&val=478 Had a family of sea otters come over to play, they hung around as I was walking back upwind, cute little buggers! Just as it was getting better I ran out of sand, could have pushed my 5x10 average over 40 knots with a few more runs. Still a mega day.

Roo, one more week then the 'da Hood' trips will start...

That said, as long as Claudia's recovery continues, I'll be making one more trip to Floras Lake to harden my water wings, enjoy the RV park next to the lake before it becomes impossible to get a reservation (late June/July/Aug) and make some runs on the mini-ARooBar along the NW shore of the lake. Forecasts for next week are 25-30+ knot winds all week - I have reservations for sailing on Tuesday through Friday. Present forecasts should result in daily wind graphs that look similar to the one you posted above.

Thanks Elmo, remember that on the old Ford GTHO back when I was a kid. I've now got the sticker on the back of my SubaRoo!

Same here Deniss, hot and still in da hood! May get some easterlies at Stevenson, but very windy on the Oregon coast, wrong direction for ARooBar though.
