Full on animal mode today, felt like pushing it and chasing some numbers. On the water by 10:00 AM and put the hammer down. Did an nice hour then kept pushing on the distance. Pretty choppy but in the groove and nothing was going to stop me. Had a blast and could have easily gone over 200km but the wind started dropping out. Not to worry still early in the season and I'm getting fitter and faster! I love this sport....yeehaa! Picked up a couple of PBs as well, not a bad day in da Hood!

Roo, wowzer Surprised!!! Soundly trounced your previous distance PB Laughing!  Yup, Animal Mode.

Sorry I couln't be OTW to provide a meager backup. Hopefully I'll make it to the Gorge next week. Monday the 'Hilton' gets the Mercede-Benz AirCo fixed then just have to see how Claudia is doing...

No worries, hopefully see you next week. Will chase a 23 knot hour and 30 knot nautical mile, probably head out to Boardman Monday in search of PBs. I'm one motivated Roo now!

Roo, congrats on PBs, to be honest I didn't expect you going that far with the distance:). I just can't keep up with you guys. Boris will be at Sherman Island tomorrow, probably pushing for 160km and good @.🤙

Thanks Firie, over 100 jibes but whos counting!

Tony hours are tricky as the wind is gusty and staying on the plane the whole time rarely occurs.

Thanks Martin, been a great season so far, wind has blown for the last 10 days straight.

I'm a bit of a dark horse Denis, had never tried distance before but the training for La Defi demands it!

That's the plan, just waiting for dates to be confirmed. Really looking forward to it.

Nice session Roo! Congratultions on PBs! Looking serious there Cool

Registration for Defi Wind is usually on February 01 and it's always sold out on the first day. Better have all the documents ready to start the registration at midnight French time. Medical certificate confirming that you are able to compete in Defi Wind signed by doctor is required. This is one document that has to be prepared in advance. Rest of the paperwork is available on Defi Wind web site on registration day and can be filed in minutes. I'll email you all the registration paperwork from this year to check it out, its most likely not going to change...
