Great day at Green with a good crew of FNQ MOBSTERS. Wind was forecast at 15-20 and tide was going to be good for almost the whole day.

With that wind forecast I think most decided to go for distance. 'The Guns' Kel and Cam were on fire and clocked up some very creditable

numbers as was Billy who got a distance pb and Eddy (the machine) who I think may have got man of the match.

Jimmy James (from the Atherton tablelands) joined us but his gps did not!! He did some great jumps....had not sailed for a couple of months.

Ben and Andrew sailed very well (both really showing lots of improvement) and should have pb's hanging off their necks after

they post. Great day and great company....great trip home on the boat with a bit of gasbagging. Thanks for the beer Kel.

Exocet 135 Loft 7.4 Black Project 47.5

Terrific day had sailing with the mob!  What a turn out, so much fun!!  Billy gave me some very helpful advise when rigging up the 7.4 sail- worked an absolute treat with plenty of downhaul and very little outhaul...  Felt nice and light turning an already good day into a great day!  Many thanks Billy and congratulations on the PB!!

Was nice to meet James and Dr Cam who was yahooing in passing (on numerous occasions) out on the water with big grins all round.

Ed, Billy, Freddo & Kel "the machine" were flying around as per expected.  Andrew looked like he was having fun on his rig tuning in the new gear.

Truly can't be too many things better than scooting around in beautiful Tropical waters surrounded by great company!

Just a magical day on the island with all the crew.  My kind of weather with something like 16-18 knots steady.  Rigged my new Neil Pryde Hornet 7.2m on Atomiq120 and had an absolute ball with perfect fat tides and lots of mates to race around with.  Also tried my new Severne alloy mast - I totally love the boom head arrangement - it is so much better than the Neil Pryde equivalent - got to start saving for a carbon one in 2018.   Sailed pretty solidly all day with about half an hour off.  Looking forward to the next GI Mission.

Thanks for the phone call Ed - nearly missed a great day - alot of sailing (800-900 ks) if we had had a relay we could have ducked upto PNG !!  and alot of tired bodies and not one bit of broken gear - must be a record-- free days sailing !! Winter is not over yet.

I think is obvious who didnt put in any effort yesterday !!! Not one PB between the two off them and they call themselves senior members of the team ;) . Well done to every one who did put in an effort ;) Putting humour aside, great day, great company. Thanks guys, it was a pleasure.
