2534 days ago Fun Southerly @ Primbee, NSW, AU. First hit-out with the GSR 6.3. Felt very responsive and light in the hands, even when overpowered. Second run out, reached for the boom to beachstart whilst the sail was backwinded and finger ran straight into a batten seam, took whole finger nail off. Was just hanging off skin so I gaffer taped it on for the rest of the day. Thanks TP for the first-aid assistance at midday to get it sorted for a few more hours. Ended up going out for three sessions, all with the same kit. The last two sessions were the best as the water level early on was too high and the big chop capped speeds at about 37kts. Even the later sessions were still very choppy to be honest. Best water state was down below the pier, however, the wind got dodgy there as well. It was just luck of the draw to catch a stray bullet just as you entered the zone. Great knocking off some bearaways for much of the day with Dezza, TP, Nudie, Mudcrab and Keef. lots of others out as well. Will sleep well tonight. Wind still cranking here in Jamberoo as I enjoy a few Little Creatures !!
TP and Dezza were flying, looks like they grabbed some PB goodness. Smiles all round !!!

Crazy session, Southerly 30-40kts, chop about as big as it gets here, survival sailing all day, but at the end just happy my gear and myself undamaged.
5.8 evo7, 56cm wide Chester, new 27cm custom slalom fin. Not sure on its top speed, but today it kept me straight.

Arrived later today and caught up with some of the gustys as they were packing up, the kiters were done too and onto the beers so it was just me on my lonesome. The windy conditions were great with the odd squal coming through. I rigged a little conservatively though with the 5.6 and in hindsight probably should have gone the 6.2 but it was a fun sail in challenging conditions.
