Greg Kiskarpati (20777km): Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU RS4 , Warp 7.0 , Kestrel 22 , Nothing like forecast but a nice cruisey day with alot of good blokes .
sboardcrazy (25098km): 15-20kts SSw -S Buff PtBudgewoi Lake, NSW, AU 5.7OD - 80ltre isonic - 16cm kestrel Rigged for the forecast rather than what was there.. Very underpowered should have had at least the 6.6m up. Rigged and got into my wetsuit and then heart palps went off and spent 40mins lying down trying to settle them.. ( missed the best wind)..Finally subsided enough for me to move around and I decided just go out for a very short session..If I didn't I would have been too scared to sail again until the op in July..Luckily they came good and I was ok. For once I didn't mind being underpowered. Happy with 30kts I thought i only got 28kts . i only got one powered up run. Some fun gybes. Hitting the bottom with the 16cm occasionally but managed to gybe on the inside in the glass which was lovely. Only about the 3rd go on the kestrel..much better this time as the flats were glassy and I wasn't very powered up. Still not game to power on upwind yet though..If only the flats were knee deep.. Usually I'd whinge about a crappy session like today but after the carpark debacle I was just grateful I could sail.. Plenty out. Milsy , Matt, Pete , Pugs , youngens, Brent , Steve W & Lyds and Jeff, Andrew , Ric and assorted others. Hopefully it will be better tomorrow.

Andrew Haigh (50238km): Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU IS90 18 Delta and 6.3. Forecast 20-30 kts got 15, underdone all day - rather disapointing.
Ian Wright (16360km): Burrum Heads, QLD, AU Teasing N/E seabreeze at Burrum. Tried the N.P. Converible board and F4 foil with my 7.8 Loft. Incomming tide with 4-7ish knots. Not much foiling but a lucky gust got me going for a short flight. At least i got wet and explored a small section of the bank. Many thanks to the Wind Wandrers crew and N.P guys . Looking good for tomorrow.
Brent Hopkins (711km): Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU North warp 7.0 Fanatic falcon 89. 21 vector w/s
rus13b (5109km): Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU sl91 7m 18 kestral, ok sail needed a bit more wind or consistancy, was a bit shallow, nice & flat just on the inside of the weed line. plenty of people out had to park up round the corner, see every onr there in the morning fingers crossed. |
