Holloways Beach, QLD, AU

We had the optimism before we went out, but quickly evaporated once out on the water. B2,Fred and Pete - wasnt a waste of time by any stretch, just had to work harder today. 10-13 kts easterly with a touch of Northerly every now and again. Looks like that might be it for the "Wallow Pit" for a while - looking like the return of the northerlies next week.

Highlight of the day was seeing a lone dolphin out wide and heaps of 60cm plus Mackeral scooting about on the surface chasing bait fish...I hope!!!!

Used" The Tank, 8.6 Loft RB. BP 475 - great spending the arvo with the lads.

Holloways Beach, QLD, AU Isonis 120, 8.6 Overdrive 43 alloy fin. Sailed with Billy, Benny and Fred. As the numbers show not a lot of wind but still better than not.Smile

Holloways with Billy,Benny and Peter. Wind was expected to be a little better than yesterday but not today.

Good to get out 2 days in a row ....bit of banter while setting up....good company even though the numbers

weren't that good.  I think the numbers are going to be close if the gasbag at the end was anything to go by.Wink

Short sesh with Freddo, B1 & Peter.  Light winds this arvo- spent a bit of time off the plane.  Sailed alongside a dolphin for a short stretch which was pretty cool...  Think the little fellar even gave me a whistle when passing! Cool

B1 & I sorted out our fin swap (along with a bit of banter), which was nice- no spin outs to be had...  Now need to sort the middle cam/batten on my sail as it kept popping off today.

I reckon Freddo gets "man of the match"- taught us a lesson in light wind sailing...  Pretty good hour for the conditions.  Swear he can get planing off the draft of a fart! Laughing

Think we all agreed it was a bit of hard yakka out on the water today.  Still all a bit of fun with good company!

Used Exocet 135 Severne OD 8.6 B1's 49 fin

Lake Cootharaba, QLD, AU

89 Falcon / 7.0 Mach 1 / Tribal 30

Merena wanted to try somewhere different so we did a day trip to lake Cootharaba. Tried for an hour but my back doesn't handle long runs so couldn't take advantage of the distances available on the lake. Dropped a couple of jibes as well but still a reasonable result.
