Byron Mcilveen (64411km): Bonnells Bay, NSW, AU S2 venom 8.4,falcon 115, v max 43 Very light just squeezed an hr in including going up wind then mad rush to work. Was to light as wind had not built yet but nice spot and way to go before work.
Bruce Healey (24292km): Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU Nice NE but gusty. RS2, 6.6, 16MUF
Ant-man (13419km): Coal Point, NSW, AU. 5.7 North 96CA then 6.6 Hucker 110 Naish. Crap then awesome pretty sums it up.
James Farley (12722km): Marmong Point, NSW, AU Exocet RS Formula, TR9 11.0, VMG M75 - Wind NE 8-15 knots Started off pretty light so thought I'd try the formula gear. Has been ages since I used it (been foiling instead) and was so rusty. Finally got my rig sorted out but then the wind kicked in and I was overpowered. Nice to get an afterwork sail with Scott and my mate Andrew. Was hoping for an hour on the slalom gear but wasnt to be. Well done to the other guys for putting together a good hour for the team. Go Lake Mac!
Andrew Haigh (50238km): Coal Point, NSW, AU RS4 and 7.0 Nice sess until I smashed my head into the boom during a failed gybe. Blood everywhere had to call it a day.
Hugh (11029km): Coal Point, NSW, AU very patchy conditions today tried for an hour my watch died halfway through and lost data
sboardcrazy (25098km): patchy 10-20kts then 10-24kts NE Peely Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU level 0.295 thick weed 6.2m OD- 87ltre Iso- 21.5cm FF ( cutdown 24cm) then 6.6m KA Koncept - RS4 ( 111ltres) - 21.5cm FF then 6.6m KA - 80iso - 16cm tribal ( 1st go) Well I stuffed up with gear selection today. After last weeks great session I rigged too small. Stuck with the 6.2m for 1.30hr - good in the gusts but off the plane a lot and hard to get upwind underpowered. The thick leading edge of the FF had a heap of drag underpowered in the weed. I had planned on trying for an hour but too patchy and underdone. Decided to change up to the 6.6m and when i looked out it looked like people weren't going so i plugged in the big board.. Much better! Lot of fun but the gusts were getting good and the 80 would have been much faster. Board PB for the RS4..never been so powered up.. The board was lifting out of the water and my back leg was burning..lots of fun pity it was so slow.. Decided the 80ltre would get some nice speed in those gusts so came in and took it out with the 16cm tribal. I felt the 16 would be a bit small but a good test. Started walking the gear out and got halfway to 7th avenue and i noticed the downhaul had broken.... so ashore and fixed that then back out...by now I was the only one left out and it was even gustier.. Didn't totally go for it with the tribal but it went ok in the chop.. Spun out a few times on port tack but easy to get back in except for the last one in the bearaway when I stacked it trying to get it back in.. I was pretty tired by now so not sailing brilliantly.. Arms not happy..Those unhooked broad runs in are killers.. argh! My watch had stopped and I didn't realise how late it was..Home in the dark.. Plenty out.
