TillDark (7885km):  6 categories       Tauranga, Bay Of Plenty, NZ 8.6 OD isonic 137 DDW 44 great steady wind, my gybes suck so thats the new focus.Lots of fun drag racing today with local PWA sailor Tim Wood and up and comming RSX sailor Max Van der dam on slalom gear. Mike had a rop in and looks like we have a new gun local sailor from spain Great after such a long crap spring, noone had any fitness so it was a lot of huff n puff, long runs to Matakana and back | ||||||||||||||||||
HulkSmash (1909km):  6 categories Kulim park. Tauranga, Bay Of Plenty, NZ ENE - NE winds. 18 to 25knots.. pretty settled really. Started the session on 7.8m, and just after high tide moved onto the 8.6m. Both wouldve worked the whole time but wanted to keep powered up and as hadnt sailed since 2nd November, was feeling little out of shape. Amazing what a month of not sailing can do.. 7.8mR7 Severne Reflex, 121 Isonic 43cm fin. 8.6mR8 Severne Overdrive, 145 Isonic 52cm fin. Needing to move harness lines around to settle down as there is slight variations in style and the big sails.. Awesome session with loads of sailors and kiters out. Yehaa.
