kato (37642km): Area 45, Mahers Landing, VIC, AU Just living the dream and dancing in the chop A quick blast after work which I wasn't prepared for as all the gear was at home. Great fun in the lumps at high tide, some loved it others . Another convert to the Carbon Art family got their new ride wet and LOVED IT, not new but a 2005 model which was still going strong. Great to see old boards still getting wet and going fast. SL 52, Koncept 6.6, Venom 30 | ||||||||||||||||||

Sailquik (29582km): Lake Wellington - Marley Pt, Vic I nice short sail in the local bump and jump lake late afternoon when a 14-15kt Easterly came in. On shore and very bumpy, but fun. First sail on the 2019 KA Koncpet 7.0m sail. I was actually very surprised how much nicer it felt than my last 2016 7m Koncept. Definitly noticeable progress. Bottom end just as good but much better in the gusts and lighter feeling with more forward drive in the reaches. very nice. Exactly what I had hoped from a sail with more depth in the lower area and more twist in the top. It's nearly a year since I sailed out here in the bumpy lake and I had forgotten how much faster it feels like you are going than you really are in the chop. Great fun, but also quite a bit more tiring. 2010 SB Isonic 110, Tribal 35cm Weedspeed, 2019 KA Koncept 7.0m. GW-52 GPS. |
