Quick late arvo sail in SW that was mostly 8-20kt but came in 30kt + at the end..... at which time I bailed.

Scarey day at budgie , cowering on my back under my sail in the shallows shitting myself from all the lightening . And the squalls coming through from every direction , driving rain , could not see shit . At one stage my board and sail went flying . Had to chase it and cower under it again . This lasted about half hour .NOT MUCH FUN .

s2 venom 7 and 5.7 falcon 89 v max 31

scary as F--- sail doing these speeds in 4 foot chop open lake was ass cheeks clenched tight. just had to put the foot down between swells and chop.

started 20 to 25 was nice on 7 then it went to 35 plus sheeting water strugled to get home then rigged 5.7 and was super powered up on that.

Waited for the southerly that took about 5 hours after it went through Sydney. Cooled down nicely after a hot N/W .

Got to try my near new 2018 Exocet RS4, Severne R6 Overdrive 7m and 36 fin. Wind settled to about 15-20 knots for a while so was a good time to get a feel for a new board. Huge improvement after 10 years on the 122 Futura. . Happy days.!!!!!!!!!!
