1970 days ago 2 categories Longboard and foil at Kalmus, Cape Cod. Nina got the foil while the wind was gusting to 25 mph, and was overpowered at times with a 5.0 (and underpowered in 8 mph lulls). I took the ME2 with a 7.0, and planed quite a bit in the back straps - fun! By the time Nina got tired, the wind dropped to 5-13 mph, gusting 18, which was just enough to get me flying in the gusts. Runs were mostly short because the gusts never lasted long, but I got a bit of a feel for the 90 cm mast I used the first time. Interesting - leverage by standing at the board edge seems a lot more important than with the 60 cm mast. The extra 30 cm height adjustment room is quite nice, can't wait to try this in steadier wind. Top speed on the foil was 15.232 knots, about the wind speed in gusts.
