Late session at the Stick with the wind blowing on and off ranging from NW to SW. Survived a 30kts wipeout with no visible damage. Alphas are slowly improving, and I think I'm keeping jibes too tight after missing some 20kts+ previously by a couple of meters.

Had ignored Julien's message to update the firmware on the Motion, and the unit shut down after 90 minutes, just before the wind finally got decent. The bug that caused the shutdown was fixed a month ago, and I knew about it, so it's all my fault. Usually, I would have also worn the watch, but for once, Nina wanted one, and I had forgotten to wake up here watch from deep sleep before we left home.
The session started good, then went bad as the wind dropped to 2 knots but the chop remained from 20 knot winds further away from shore. That lasted about 40 minutes, which is not uncommon in Kalmus, although usually the wind does not drop that far. The decent wind afterwards lasted almost an hour according to Nina's tracks.
