Crazy windy at Yamba, NSW, AU

Should have brought smaller gear/been more fit. Strong wind held the tide in for ages. Went out late with John from the sunny coast, he went in after a few runs. Then I nearly got lifted with the 6.2, and three failing GPS's I pulled the pin too. All my GPS's were missing, dropping data and behaving odly, could it be a lack of satellites maybe?
