Manly, QLD, AU

Had no intentions to do the hr today. Was late when i got on water and the wind wasn't good enough for any great speed runs. Tide wasn't so good but the angle was.

Ground out the hr again without a watch so just sailed til i was sure more than an hr had past.

I'm glad november is nearly over. I'm over doing hrs now.

Yamba, NSW, AU. 97F / 7M2 / 34Mk2. Darren and I were having a great sail with the 7m then Eric turned up and the wind increased to much for our gear. The tide was to late to go in and change to 6.2 so we stayed out. Eric was going so well from the first run in the 25 plus knot gusts. Had a few runs where I unhooked as there was to much power.  Great to have a good day with Eric and Darren and the drive home in the fires was certainly different.

So windy today Yamba, NSW, AU

It picked up soon as I got in the water, could have easily been on a size smaller gear. Ian and Darren did so well to hang onto their 7.0s! Stoked with PB's on this gear and spot.

Some surreal images burnt into my brain, first run out following Ian and Darren with huge bushfires in the background, smoke so thick you could look at the sun.

114, 7.0 Mach1, Lockwood 36cm

P.S. Reposted from GW60 as it gave a slightly better 5x10.

great speed on the 114 Eric.  Yes Brad's hour must be the quickest ever in the Bay?  Can anyone verify if it's a Bay all time record?

Steve, There have been only 18 sailors who have recorded Hours over 27kts on GPSTC. Only two of them are Queenslanders, Brad and Julien Ventalon. Julien recorded his 27.7kt hour in New Caledonia. So we can safely say that Brad's 27kt hour yesterday is the fastest on the bay.
