dr cam (41674km): Clifton Beach, QLD, AU Fun sail off the Beach in 15-17 knots .Tide retreating . Used the RRD v10 108 Warp 7.7 TSW 35 . Still great weather here at present -sunny ,balmy & breezy . Stoked ...!!
Kel (36803km): Holloways Beach, QLD, AU Isonic W72, Overdrive M2 7.8, Drake DW36
Billy (10673km): Holloways Beach, QLD, AU Again, hit the Mud Pit with expectations of 13-15 kts and recieved 15-18 . What is it with Saturday arvo's up here recently. Tomorrow, if history rings true, there wont be anything...Any ways, back to today....again, arrived to see B2 heading for the horizon. Quick thought process, do I rig B2's busted arse old 8.6 or stick with my 7.8, Mmmmm, 7.8 it was . Standing up on the beach, looking out to where B2 was out playing, it looked like things were building, so a plan was hatched. Kel and Gaz must hacve rocked up not long after I left the beach and was a real pleasure to catch up with both of the lads later on. B2 was on a mission to crack 100's and I reckon he will have racked up a really special session today. Again, like last week, it was quite a hand full out wide with big gear but loved every friggin minute. Cant wait to see Fred back on the water after he has completed his anti aging routine in the next few weeks. Used: WT72 SB, WT43, 7.8 ODM2 - Cracking arvo.
Benny McCarthy (15191km): Holloways Beach, QLD, AU Great arvo sailing sesh with Capt'n Kel, QB1 and Gaz. Battling the tail end of the "man flu", so thought what better way to kick it with some salty goodness!!! First one out on the water just after midday (after watching some mates play Rugby 7's in the morning at Yorkeys) and last one to leave... Wind was a bit light on to begin with, so rigged big... Didn't take long for the wind to fill in nicely to the point where I was a little overpowered at times. B1 was the first to join and looked like he was having some right royal fun~ congrats on the hour PB mate! Capt'n Kel then joined the party and we enjoyed a couple of fun little drags between the swell lines, but when it came to the gybes, he absolutely kicked my arse... just couldn't get them together today! Gaz rocked up last and sailed way way upwind where we could just see his sail flicking somewhere over near Trinity inlet!! Ended up being another beautiful tropical sunny day in Far North Paradise with superb water clarity out into the blue... Lots of bait fish jumping and a few bigger fish in tow- actually, barely just missed one on an outward run... Feeling a little bit knackered now... Used "Big Woody" Futura 124, Severne M2 8.6, Venom 48 "Long May our Big Jibs Draw!"
