Coal Point, NSW, AU

25 knots plus NE, 5.6 hucker, 104 s type. Good bump and jump day, really choppy with all the boat traffic. Bit over powering at the end.

Marmong Point, NSW, AU

E/N/E looked 15-20+ .Went samaller today, Fanatic Ray 102, 6.3 KA Race. 33 Vmax. Was good for half an hour or so then the wind went more to the North and became very gusty 10-15+ knots. Changed boards to the RS4 but still not enough except for the occational 15+ gust . Still nice to get out and chat with the local guys and some new guys , Duncan learning on an old F2 Lightning and his dad Robert getting back into sailing.

Barry and I are heading up to Jimmies Beach/Hawks Nest tomorrow for a sail. Hoping for a nice N/E , flat water and NO weed. Anyone else interested is quite welcome to join in.

15-20kts then 20-25 then 25 plus E - ENE Coal Point, NSW, AU

 B & J session

I finally got the conditions I bought the board for..Surprised

4.8m sailworks hucker - 85ltre WT- 25cm maui ultra wave

then 4.2m Sailworks revo - 85ltre - 20cms stock fin

Started out 15-20kts so I rigged the 4.8m with the larger fin and half tail flex locked in..Soon picked up and I was going too fast for the lumpy chopped up 3-4ft chop. Went into the point and dropped the boom , added outhaul and put almost max rocker in the tail with a few mm's of flex.

That was better for the board but too much sail- got 26.54 (26.74kts on GPS)  going in which is a board PB.

Rigged the 4.2m with the smaller 20cm stock fin. Already buggered , I was tired before I started..Undecided

Had some jump attempts . Tried some on port tack for the first time and found out I'm better that side..Undecided

I got one ok one where I lifted the tail as I jumped and didn't spinout on landing so I'm improving although a long way to go..

Tried some turns. One turn I dug the rail in and stacked it and had a small swim for the board. Getting most of my gybes even if some aren't pretty..Laughing

I was getting pretty overpowered and tired so I came in..the swells were just starting to get good ..Frown Went out for a few more runs luffing the sail to survive but then it was 25-30kts so called it a day..Pity as by now most of the boats had disappeared due to the chop and strong wind..Yell

Should have had the 3.8m on,..

Just me and a wingfoiler who ended up having to stop because it was too strong. Later Craig , Les, maybe Ethan? from the bay above  , another young guy and a visit from Murray on his slalom gear. I think he would have had an over the top trip back! Surprised B & J not slalom weather..

zzzz wish I was younger and fitter..Embarassed
