Weapon Weedie is AWESOME !!!

Between fighting fires I,ve been.  rebuilding my two Carbon Arts so no time to test Martins latest weedie fin design. Finished the 52 yesterday and today was to first opportunity for a sail .And its a howling easterly Cool.

First run out felt a little sketchy, its a very small fin for the 52 and it needs to be well powered up. Off the wind WOW, solid lock in and lets go fast. Mid 41 peak. Run 2 42, mmmmm its going to be a good session Tongue out. Still felt a little loose so I moved the base back another 10mm. Run 3 42.5 !! Board Pb and nothing wrong with my glassing techniques Laughing

Spent the next hr exploring the fins limits....not many, this will be a great 1 hr fin for LG.

Had a play on the Ca40 but the wind had backed off by then , mid 38.

Back onto the slalom board but this time with the Weapon 28 slalom. Love this fin, just a perfect rough water ,go fast fin for all occasions.

Off to the fire/smoke tomorrow for a week then Lake George.....can't wait Wink

Lake George. SA

Another wonderful day at the Golden Lake. How good is this!

Went out later at about 4pm as indication were that it may kick up later. It kinda did but only a few knots and even the good gusts were only in the low 20's. Milked a bit of nice glass up the top of the lake and had a ball sailing with the guys from Budgie/Lake Macquarrie, Matt, Greg, Bill and Andrew.

Lots of sailors here today and a bit of a changeover of people coming and going.

I am really loving the 2017 IS80 in these conditions. I dont think my olf IS87 would have got withing a couple of knots of these speeds in that wind.

Crikey that's quick for A45! Almost as quick as Area 46 day! I think my peak was 43 something that day.

How windy do you reckon it was?
