Kimba (8041km):
1523 days ago I had a fun day with Chris at Lake George although the wind didn't cooperate early. The plan was to pump out some distance and I did 80km early on the 10m until it looked like it was filling in. Then I rigged the 7.8 and went out for the first time on the X-fire 108; a nice board but I had a bit of trouble on the delta getting up to the top of the lake as a 7.8 felt like the limit and I didn't have anything bigger in that style of fin. I probably would have been better off going with a weed speed and clocking up some km's through the middle of the lake. It was however, great gybing in the flat water and not picking up weed on the exit. I spent a fair bit of time changing gear and fixing kit and would have liked to have got over 200km again but there is always next time!
It was great to meet some more sailors from other teams and some others I hadn't seen for a few years.
Lake George - South 12-15 then 15-20+
HD83 - M2 10m - Duo Weed 36 then Xfire 108 - Evo5 7.8 - Tribal Delta 20
