2 runs and a float back, wind started picking up at 2pm, but had to pick up the kids. out with wayne. Tezza rigging as i left.

Cracking Southerly Buster @ Primbee, NSW, AU. Sat at work tracking it up the coast. Hit the water at 6pm and waded up the windless strip just in time to watch the dust cloud come across the lake. I let the first squall rip by and then waited for a lull to have my first crack. It was the first time I'd used the CA44 in anger and it was just sweet, point-and-shoot speed sailing from the get-go. The wind was that blustery that I was out of harness for the whole first run. The water was smoother closer in, however, the wind dropped off pretty dramatically. I think I only got to do 6 runs in total, over the space of 40 mins before it started to ease & I wasn't getting enough pressure on the 5.6. The fastest two runs definitely felt faster than anything I'd done before, but the board and fin combo was just rock solid, even in 1ft chop. Can't wait to spend more time on this board!!
