a lot of luck today: not going to the Delta, getting out early enough, finding short flat spots, and hanging on when downsizing (fin, board, sail)  seemed to be the call

mostly bumpy short runs, squarish to avoid jumping over the back fo swells. once the 5x10 was locked in, i did one good try for the NM and was rewarded (surviving two holes, two rough patches, and a spinout – thanks to the countdown watch)

happy to come out with 3PBs (and Coyote records) and 3 season-best marks too

thank you guys!

Max and i were chatting at the beach a few days ago about NM runs at Coyote, where there no distance refererence points, and we figured timekeeping was the way to go, figuring that keeping the gas on for two and a half minutes should ensure the distance was covered (we had both done decent runs that were shy of the distance).

that day, he mentally counted to 150 and got a PB.  on this day, i used a race start watch set to 3 min and also got a PB.
