Boggy Lake, SA, AU - 13 to 18.

Nice arvo sesh after work.  Arrived mid arvo to a decent breeze.  Seemed strong and was going to take out 100 and 7m but decided on big kit and glad i did.  Wind was a little gusty but settled in for an hour from the start.  Headed back to shore and realised most had left.  Went back up the top and had another nice sesh before packing up.  Had some nice runs with oversized and need speed.

Looks like the start of the warmer season and s - sw winds - can't wait...

Murray mouth 12 to 15 knots  great smooth sailing but then dropped out by 12pm  8.6 R8 and suiperlight 49cm select race.  SOO smooth.

the BOGGY with Stash same set up but more wind . alittle maxed but in control , could have been on 7.8 with 113l but back gave out. still the smoothest it has been at boggy for a while SSW wind to 20 knots.  shit I even enjoyed sailing there this time.

Staash just tuning in his new patrick 135 82cm wide slalom.  WICKED board. plans as quick as my superlight !!

Robot cop Stash and me keep swooping in on Carls solo sailing. I think we gave him the shits but it was fun chasing him.  he he haha

el Bog, ssw to 18kts. Big gear for me, so isonic97, BPR37.5cm and MachOne7.0.

The forecast never quite got there, but still: planing near all the time, only rare flat patch saw me glugging, and there were land shadows you had to avoid. but really nice sailing today, everyone was grinning. Huge turn-out, windsurfing is still very much alive and kicking.

Hi James. What is the water state like in the lake ?. Choppy as **** ?. I have my annual hols at the moment. I'm thinking of another camping trip at the lake. (I'll probably avoid W winds though as they seem like a bad direction).

Jimbob. I've had enough of your abrasiveness. If you're referring to taking holidays in January/Februrary, then you're not listening. You're normally the one that I hear complaining about the conditions when I sail at LG (my 6th visit last January). You think you are legend/Mr popular on this site and seabreeze ?, and you think you can talk down at people because of this ?. If you lived in Adelaide you would be another nobody sailor at Seacliff. You are only good because you are fortunate enough to live near a world class spot. During my first visit to LG in 2009, I remember you telling me how lonely it was that nobody sailed Beachport. You seemed like a nicer person back then. It's not just me who concludes this BTW.

Hey Social distance,

I my opinion, ( I have sialied there from last january , through winter, and just lately so know the lake pretty well. A trip to the lake is always worth it as it is ALWAYS better than anything at south Australia BY FAR.

curently ther is a smooth spot  near the spit outside the islands about a fottball field big. ( still do 40 knots ) and fu fun fun stuff around the spit as there is more water to sail there.

I break the year up into 3 phases

1. shallow ( delta fins needed )

2. intermediate ( wed speed fins needed

3. deep water 9 slalom fins can be used

at the moment it is deep water but still , bloody fantastic sailing .  its getting close to weed speeds as last weekend my slalom fin was catching at times the weed.

WEST winds are fins as you can sail from one side of the lake to the other and launch from packins or spit.  NW maybe the hardest

hope this helps
