Green Island, QLD, AU

Scrappy session on the Island today - 25-30 kts all day. Did not let up and a high tide made for rough conditions. Even PB corner was like the English Channel in a F10 gale. Fitness was the greatest short coming today. Couldnt land a gybe to save myself and I was giving it everything. No chance of a naughty. Couldnt be buggered getting of the reef flats to get enough distance under my belt.

B2 and Cam sailed like possessed demons on a mission, with Cam throwing down the early gaunlet, nailing a 35 2 Sec, and late in the arvo, raised the bar even higher Surprised.

Cracking day, sun, beautiful water temp, good numbers of tourist's on the boats bring life back to the island and reef pontoons.

Ding Ding... round two. Repeat of yesterday with testing conditions, 25 knot gusts and lots of washing machine chop and jumping ramps. Felt much more comfortable today but still hit the point of exhaustion after a bit over an hour. The old Naish supercross was perfect and copped a hiding with some nasty landings. Sore but happy and self medicating with a few beers.

Hectic, Hectic Hectic!!! - Super rough & physically challenging to say the least!  Anyone who could sail a full hour non stop in the conditions today deserves a medal!!

First time using the ol' hand me down Isonic 90 (big thanks Billy!).  Board was like a primed racehorse on the juice after so much recent light wind sailing on the big gear.  Felt a bit overpowered/overfinned for most of the time with the Severne OD~R4 6.2 & Tribal WS31, but that's all I had to work with.

Went for one NM and it turned out Ok, although I may have to soak the undies in napisan tonight.

Hardly any decent runs on the speed strip due to the wind angle, but that didn't stop B1 sneaking in a nice 2sec bearing off to the Port side, which is rather unusual for GI- well done Billy! Cool  Dr Camikazee showed us how it's done once again sailing wherever he felt like doing so ~ Big Kudos to the man, the myth, the legend! WinkCool

Out with B1, Dr Cam, Toody's friend Chris on his wave gear & small sail + a couple of teabaggers - no offence Locky Laughing

Great day...  No damage done...  A little tender...  1 pair of cheap sunnies donated to the wind gods & a few not so graceful stacks...

Mackay: Windy arvo sail with Troy. Tried the 5.0 Tricera but it was too powerful for the 25-30kn conditions. Retreated too the KA kult4.7 and was pretty comfortable. Naish SL95 sl7 27.

Good to get on the water but will need some more runs to get fit for Burrum.

Green Island, QLD, AU Super windy week just gone but covid lockdown for anyone visiting Brisbane since Mar 20 meant we missed the big days of WED/Thurs this week.FrownFoot in mouth

Lots of wind today with morning gusts over 30 knots .60cms too much water & lots of East in the wind made it death defying to try & get any speed .Super challening condtions that improved marginally as the tide retreated but then so did the wind .

Used the JP 60 w slalom 2019 /Evo 11 6.4 /Tribal sw 27 then the FF Speed 52.5 Tribal Speed delta 20 & 6.4 . The Jp was quicker today .

Wasnt really enjoyable but happy to be back on the Island & catch up with some of the team,B1& B2 ,Chris Thomas & step son Lach who kited today as he's recovering from a nasty lumbar disc lesion /spondylolisthesis .

Losing my drive I fear ...SurprisedUndecided
