Sandy Pt
Arrived late, set up 5.8Koncept with 94L isonic and Atomic weapon 30cm fin.

Did not make up with corrrect mast extension- 5cm!, end of sesh, "why is the boompocket loose"...REGFD^&#@#

Anyway, was not too bad anyway as wind crappy with the dunes building up now, prob 6 to 7m high, but the atomic weapon fin did not like fine weed strands, lost ground fighting that shite. Looked like Daffy had a bit of fun, went bak to fix rig and change to weedy, but thought wind dying down and went home...

wind at Yanakie 14 to 24knts, HHMMPHH, little bullets down the dune valley, but nah, not  great, but wet. 3PM peake, same on my sesh, 27knts unadjusted in 10-15knts, hmph again!

Tomorrow? hmmm

Sandy Point, Vic

A fun but frustratio=ng session. Always fun to fang around on a SW at Sandy, but tfrustration because the wind was very gusty and fading the whle session.

I started on the 5.7m and IS80, but after the first half a dozen runs where I wat really struggling to plane out of any gybes, I came back and switched to the 6.3m and IS87.

I used the 30cm Atomic Proto " bit'a weed" fin (30 degree weapon) but took the Normal Atomic uporight 30cm Weapon after the change over. That was a big mistake because I was immediatly catching strands of thin weed which killed speed and had me spinning out on a fin I know is VERY difficult to spin out. After seeing all the starnds of weed float off the fin when I stopped at the end of a run, I immediatly went back on got the 30cm raked proto again. It was spot on and I had no more issues at all. Laughing. It's amazing how a small amount of rake can make so much difference in this spot, but the performance of the fin felt very hard to distinguish form the vertical weapon.

There were a few sailors out today. Probably a dozen all up. Good to see. Laughing

IS80, KA Speed 5.7m then IS87 KA Race 6.3m, Atomic Proto "bit'o weed"  Weapon 30cm. Mini Motion .
