was supposed to be a windy day…

but early into the session the wind got weird: slower, shiftier, holeyer. it wasn't particularly good for any speed measure, so i figured i'd stay out and let the odometer run (distance not being a true speed measure, in my view… but them's the rules) and see if i or the wind would give up first.

got some windy periods to have 20-kt half-hour splits and couple of high 20s runs, but got a lot of holes too where i had to slog to next puff, and ultimately back to the beach (no doubt costing me some metres in the GPS software computations). it was foilable at that point, so i got out on the foil and squeezed a few more kms. before the final shutdown and impending Coyote park closure. slogged a bit before managing to get flying back to the launch.
