NNE all over the place - Laughably bad late session in a N that was doing allsorts of strange stuff in the Rocky Pt wind shadow. Give me a westerly anyday over this rubbish.YellLaughing Think I did one gybe all afternoon as the gusts were never much longer than 100M or so. Sounds like Belly Bay was the go.

not the nicest afternoon with rainsqualls and gusty E-NE winds but who cares? Only Mike and I went out but it was actually worth it!

Again, anything is better than sitting on the shore. I hate the cold but in fact it wasn`t all that cold by the afternoon.

Used the 900 wing as it didnt look windy enough so, no speeds to speak of but we have enjoyed it what`s important!

10-17kts then 10-20kts NNE- NE Coal Point, NSW, AU

7.5m turbo - Windtech64 ( 112ltres) - 35cm tectonics weed demon

 then 7m Turbo - WT 57 ( 90ltres) - 28cm WT weedy

Rainy and 16 degrees at home, not much wind but not much rain at Coal. Hung around and finally decided that although there was a bit too much N in it for my liking I was there so may as well go out.

First bit with the big gear was a bit patchy but not bad and I got two of my favourite runs across towards Carey and back. The first one was better wind and a better direction. The second was a bit patchy and a lot of N so I didn't get as far N for the run back.

It was starting to get a bit scary with the big kit ( 24.x kts max) so I decided to call it a day. I  washed everything and turned the GPS off but then decided it was the first NE of the season for me so I'd risk it and go the smaller gear.

It was pretty solid but by the time I was ready it had got patchier and was more N. I was a bit concerned how I'd go and whether I'd get back in but risked it. Dinged my fin beachstarting on the reef but it was worth it. I was well powered up.

I only did one trip above the point and it was patchy and too N so I didn't get very far but had a great seat of the pants ride back past. I was stoked to get 26.5.. Any day I get over 26kts out in the middle is a great day for me!

It  looks like I didn't go far enough to get a decent nm which is a pity as I was really going..

Didn't muff many gybes but I'm still bending my frontarm and pulling back as I come across on the entry. I need a few sessions just practising gybes.. maybe doing some in the flatter water at the sand islands until I get it together..

Happy..Laughing I got to sail my first NE and have several attempts at my favourite run..

Andrew on the foil , Nic and I on fins, Gert on a wing ding plus 2 other wingdings..Nic did a good job getting back in with the offshore breeze.

I'm happy to have a few days off..Smile
