1021 days ago Lake George, SA, AU Left my speed board in Melbourne thinking it was only going to be in the mid 20s today -silly boy ..!!
Arrived to see the Lake Frothing & lots of fast sailors zipping back & forth .
Sailed from the Spit my preferred spot down here now & Used the Iso 80 slalom /NP E 11 6.4 & Tribal speed delta 20 .( extra length was good in the chop )
Felt like I was batlling the sail most of the time today apart from when going deep to the wind .
Although the wind was strong in the gusts there were lots of holes in it plus it was a bit of a battle finding long stretches of smooth water .Was finding I was repeatedly getting in to the 41s then hit the rough stuff & have to back off .
Still amazing fun & Lake George remains a Very Special windsurfing spot .
Always good to catch up with Daffy & Jim Bob...!!
Congratulations to Byron & Shannon who both had exceptional peak speeds today -well done lads ..!!
