SSE 16-20 knots, Patrik 100, Koncept 6.2m, Tribal 24 cm.
Cruisy type day, expecting more wind. Tried the hour and was a respectable 23 for me:-) NM did a gybe in it.
Highlights of the day, doing 2 full laps, just missing a guy by a hairs width to his leeward side (misjudged by myself, my bad), north end of lake got skunked by weed actually pulled me to a stop, big effort to get the hell out, last cracked a 150 km but hands are shot:-(

Boggy Lake lousy forecast but temp diff suggested otherwise. Kicked in 15-18 around 3.00. Would have been a great sail except for snapping my mast about 500 m out and had to drag my gear back in neck deep water. 6.5 Ezzy on 90L free/wave. If anyone has a 430 SDM mast for sale I would be glad to hear from you

999 days ago Lake George, SA, AU. Day #3. Last day. I would have been happy to leave after day 2. The 39 yesterday was the icecream on the sweet, and 3 nights in that bloody motorcycle swag was doing my rotator cuffs in. But I won't get to sail George for another year, and so, here we are, one more day. KARace 5.5, Patrick 92 , Delta 18.

Less windy, so on my usual gear today and it made all the difference. Started after lunch on my Mach Four 7.0, iSonic98, and Daishy's 22 Delta Sym, and took off from 5m feeling super stable on my first run. A few out and backs later I glanced at my wrist to realised no gw-60. Derp. Quick return to base, then clocked about twenty mins as the wind increased a touch. Flipping the rig far from base I went for the front strap to find it had popped out. A sketchy home-run powered up - huge concentration tongue as I made sure not to lose grip up front.
Fixed that and down to the Mach One 6.2. Pressed up top where the gang were pulling some screaming laydowns. Joined in and didn't dropped a turn for a long while so an hour looked possible. Not long after the thought occured, I skipped out on a gybe entry getting on the rail too early and went over the handlebars. Occupational hazard all day, had to introduce the rail with care. So the hour should have been better, but still happy.
The Bogans (in fair numbers!) debreifed over pizzas in Beachport, everyone stoked from the past few days. I met some some great sailors and great people down there, the buzz was infectious, with people from all over the nation there to sail the reknowned lake. Really hope to see y'all next time/year and do it again! I got some unfinished biz with Lake George! :)
