Lake Budgiewoi, NSW.

Another very windy day with quite flat water. Murphy struck again but this was because of my cognitive aging. I rigged the 4.7m on the 5.2m mast and it was waaay too stiff and knuckled. As soon as I got on the water I twigged but there was no way I was going back to change it as I was on a timeline to finish by 1.30 anyhow. It didnt feel very good at all, but still seemed to work OK. Left me wondering if the standard mast would have gone any faster anyhow???

Failed again to get off the rock bottom of the NSW 40 club. Laughing

It was great fun though. I was again reminded of the go smaller sail adage. If I can get powered on a smaller sail, I almost ALWAYS go faster. The whole combo just feels lighter on the water and very effecient.

Inverloch, VIC, AU

Knocked off work a little early to try and catch the last of the SW wind that finely turned up. No flat water and a really high tide going against the wind made it a little lumpy so I'm happy with the speeds. Even got a quick run on the foil at the end before it all went black.

I can't remember us ever sailing solely in there before?

A nice easy launch from there.

Good going for the backup Kato. That's probably my last sail for a few months. Laughing (unless I sail again up here before I come home Undecided)
