Green Island, FNQ Tropical Paradise

Great session sailing with Capt'n Kel!  Very Very Windy!!  Tide 1.6~1.1m

Did just a few runs over the top paddock to start with, whilst the water depth was there.  Super overpowered as it was absolutely honking!!!  Didn't take long before we were pretty much as high as you can get on the paddock before stopping to evaluate - was the first time I've ever heard Kel say "time to go back to the safe zone!"

Carefully zigzagged it back to the Island to take a break, especially after spotting a 3m+ shark in the shallows checking me out.

After the break, we just stuck to the Eastern Speed Run as the tide was dropping and the water was starting to flatten out.  Capt'n Kel proceeded to then crank out some serious runs, one after the other, like a man on a mission.  Majestical in fact! Cool

I started with the Tribal SW31, then switched to try the Delta 18 but it let go a few times when bearing off coming in towards the Island which was a bit nail biting, so went back to the SW31 as it felt more comfortable.  Kel kindly offered his SW29 to try, which I think would have spot on, but I declined the offer in fear of devaluing it's worth as we were starting to sail in some pretty shallow water.

Was a pretty damn physically challenging day at times, but great fun!

Only downside was I got pronged by a piece of coral (through my booty) which I had to pull out of my foot and it has given me grief overnight.

Used the Exocet Turbo 67W 100lt, Severne 6.2 R4, Tribal SW31 & Tribal Delta 18
