Green Island, FNQ, AUS~  Fun first day of 3 for the "sailcation" with great company!

Think I counted 11 sails on the water and 2 kiters today.  There was representation from Tasmania, Victoria, NSW & QLD (but of course).  There were 2 Michaels, 2 Als, 2 guns (Capt'n Kel & Dr Cam) & 2 much wind for my questionable sail choice today...

Super overpowered for most of the day!!  Thought I was being clever rigging a sail size up (or 2 in hindsight) as initial thoughts had the wind dropping below 20kn... Foot in mouth How wrong I was!  But I must say the Severne OD 7.8 M2 really does handle a wide wind range- just not when it goes North of 25kn...  Still had a "whale" of a time with best moments had sailing between the rolling swell lines along the top of the paddock where the reef breaks.

Used the Jag 108 for most of the day along with the 7.8 & TSW31, then switched to the ol' XO Turbo 100lt for a few speed runs off the tip of the Island to finish.  Then it was a quick pack up for the early boat home.  Hopefully saved some energy for the next couple of days...

Pretty sure the Port Douglas lads enjoyed their day trip to the Island along with everybody else out on the water!
