Nice little fang out in the Columbia River going east in the deep water channel. About 100 feet of flat water before OMG hold on and pray bumpy stuff. Dropped a couple of nice jibes at the end of the session.

Thanks Barton, would have been much faster if there was more sandbar. Only a 100 foot section out on the edge of the channel. Risk versus reward factor was too high to get into the 40 knot range. Still my fastest runs in the Gorge this season...so far. Jibes were sweet. nice feeling the g force in turns on the small section of flat water.

Thanks Kipps, hopefully the river level keeps dropping and we get some more sandbar to play with. 250m was pretty sketchy having to go far into the crazy chop to get it. Still lots of fast water up here in the Gorge! Still want to up my 1 hour and NM times so got something to focus on for the next few months, just waiting for Boardman to blow for a sweet session out where the river is wide.

Gets pretty lumpy and bumpy out in the channel when the breeze kicks in. If you can master the Gorge then you can sail anyhere!
