Top day on the water. Floating jumps off the swell, plenty of boats to sail up to and good company. Out in the morning with Rob and Nick and started to fill in after about an hour or so and then stayed very consistent until in picked up more in the arvo at low tide by the time the rest of the crew came down. Was going for 100kms today. Almost cracked the test 100. Was hard to crank up kms by the time the wind came up and fully powered on the 7.7 and low tide and wasnt as comfortable on the rig by then and really needed the 7.0 kit.

Never sailed at Coochy with so much East and actually was a lot of fun with whole bank being a bear away, some nice steep little swells to pop off on the way back up wind with the current moving out.  Good day with just Rols and me and my first test of his new fancy GPS (still unnamed) worked very well but I did find it a bit distracting as you can easily see your live speed when on a run....

Another SEaster which filled in nicely around 2pm to give some reasonable flat water conditions. Trying to nail some alphas above 22 in the flat water though didn’t quite get there. The One Hour 20+ was an unexpected PB. Out with Ben Cameron who was proving his Helms Deep wave sailing skills with a big 7.7, and Nick, Rob, John S, Dez, Jay, Dave D and a few others .. Congrat Shane. An unexpected PB? Well done. Top effort chasing the numbers. As Arnold Schwarzenegger said, "If you want to achieve something in life, monitor your reps and numbers"

Oh Ben, just shy of the tonne by 5kms - what a disappointment, but really good effort on the Aloha Alphas today for you with the big 7.7 sail, and as per your usual, a lot of naughtiness on those downwinders, 27 plus a nice figure. I still reckon a really good day despite not quiet teaching what we set out to achieve. And you did crack 30 after all that!
