LG Distance day but didnt happen, got want I could and a good mental day of discilpine.

10 to 15 NW in morning but was windier in the dark when I tested it so much so I was thinking 7.0 and 98 board.  But rigged big 7.8 / 118L.

sun came up and down went to wind. first 4 hrs was very hard only 120 kms of off plane gybes and not getting back on the plane. There goes 500KM.

too dark with cloud all day I knew I had to stop at sun set.

Wind came in and then it was make distance for as long as possible. couldnt even go to bucket down wind to get supplies so it was what ever I had on me and sailied straight through for 11 hrs straight solo, although saw Mark and 1 other guy out for 6o kms.

started to get 24 knot hrs and just kept it there and the kms started to really mount up until there was a chance again at 500. broken harness line and boom repair plus rain put that out the door. ( remember only 13 hrs of max light now)

In the end happy with 400km as had to get off the salt pan before the wind pushed the exit shut and duck shooters were getting mad at me too . eeck

super glassy each 5 kn loop had atleast , 4.5 km of glass, CRAZY. came in Physically fine as I super fit at the moment, but the glass made all the difference!!  missed 1 gybe wihich wreck my perfect score ( crazy targets you set yourself when sailing 11 hrs straight solo.

5 snickers bars and 1.5 L of Cordial, boom boom hi tech I know but was all in the head this day.
