461 days ago Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU - got in too late around 4pm due to my whole roof rack system flying off car whilst travelling 110km/hr on highway near toukley turnoff! My fav isonic board got run over and the nose fully cracked. It’s actually a miracle nothing hit cars behind me especially seeing though 2 boards on top. Thx to some random guy in 4wd stopped and retrieved all my gear and also the road side assistance guys for delivering me and gear back to car. But definitely not the bloody highway patrol for interrogating me and trying to fine me, not once asking if I was ok. It wasn’t my fault the racks flew off, I need to further investigate rhino racks recently installed, The straps were fine.
Anyway big story and everything ok now. Got in the water with my untouched JP 113L, 7m SV, 21f sd, only got 3 swarms of wind. Missed the early windy sesh due to work and incident.
