Coal Point NSW Au

Stingray 115, Flow 1500, 5m wing

Fun, but a trifle windy for my skill level.

Patchy 12-19kts E Coal Point, NSW, AU

6.5m turbo- WT57 ( 90ltres) - 28cms WT weedy

A bit underdone but that was good as I was very nervous. I had to bear off in the better gusts and bounce the board to get going. Decided to practise gybes out the front. Did 7 and all dry but pretty ugly.

I'd go in and think - change your feet now! but the body was too tired to do it when I needed to. I was absolutely buggered by the time I'd done that many.Embarassed

Had the videor there and told him to video everything warts and all so I can see what I'm doing wrong. I had a rest and then went above the point but there wasn't enough to get going towards Carey. I got going back and it was fun but just powered up.

Got all bar one of my gybes today.Smile zzz

Another rest and then 1 run. Good now. Easy to get going and really rocketing but just too tired so I called it a day.

I've never seen jellies so densely packed as in a few areas out there today.Surprised

Good to have more fins than foils at one time. Lajos , Gert and I then John Pearce. Nic going well on the wing , Jenny on a wing, Paul , Tony and Andrew windfoiling.

 zzzzz Wish I was younger..Undecided

Coal Point, NSW, AU 4.0 Naish 1250 Flow. I think I've worked out the set-up for this higher wind combo. Felt so much easier in the bigger gusts. Great session despite the weed and pockets of jellies. Just so much fun.

Belmont Bay (Slipways), NSW, AU

Very gusty E/NE at Belmont with Steve. It was  good to prctice a bit of jibing or more of falling in really. I ll get there one day.

Jimmy's Beach, nsw, au. I did some over time to make up for a missed day last weekend and not many days coming. That is three times the distance i usually do.
The wind was patchy light at first, then quickly i had to change down gear.
It went like this,
JP SLW 165ltr Ezzy 8.5 Cheetah, 60cm rsx fin - nice, but then it started flying, a little too much.
Change to 55cm selct rs7 fin, reached top speed with this, then it too started flying a few times. It felt good, but a little worrying when the board comes out.
So i gave the 28ff a go. Nice.
Wind increased. I went to Carve99 with 6.4 KA Koyote, 33cm pointer - not bad, good to have a ride on it and make it back up to the beach no worries.
Then the wind was cranking, so i put the 6.4 sail  on the SLW still with fangy fin, it was very comfortable. That easily went the distance.

The watch says 104 laps. There were all kinds of turn arounds, good bad and ugly. Very happy that i iknow atleast one of the 52 turn arounds was a nice planing jibe, exciting.

Thanks people. I’m liking gpstc for pushing for PB’s. I wouldn’t have thought that would be a day I’d go the distance. The shot above is my peak speed section possibly I think. Almost survival conditions on the big board, but somehow got comfortable in it. With all the gear swaps I was on and off the beach all day. But I’ll take it. Next goal will be to match the distance on a light wind day non stop.
