Sunshine, NSW, AU Mistral super light 2 race board, duotone 8.9,ego 39 Dusted off the old girl out of the shed to try and race this weekend, Foil sail just too low in the foot and dragging in water felt good apart from that, mast track sliping So different to the foil bouncing over waves got it fully airborne down wind at 25 knots itís 3.9m long and tubes like a coal train not wanting to turn.. To think I used to punch way over 30 with a formula sail on this boat. Well I tried back into the shed it goes.

15-23kts S then patchier 10-17 Kts Valentine, NSW, AU

 5m gator - WT57 ( 90ltre) - 24cms WT weedy

 then WT64 ( 112ltre) - 5.7m Gator - 32cms WT Weedy

I didn't enjoy today. I'm too critical of myself and I'm getting frustrated with my gybes. I want to be back like the pre injury me..Undecided

I realised after that I was really upset because someone I know is dying atm. Cry

Anyway.. not powered enough to get a thrill doing bearaways but still enough to stuff my gybes. Undecided

It died off a bit so I put the big board on with a small sail. It wasn't enough but at least it was low stress and I could go upwind and not worry about being caught out in strong stuff.

Well I must be getting fitter and my waterstarts are improving..Cool

Just me and lots of Wingers who were complaining about the weed and jellies.

I posted Norahs graph as it was more like what we got.

Agree come to Myal Sue The race board means soo much to me so many memories open AUS championships . I love this and can see why but hard work with a big board you need everything snick. Board good sail would be great but needs foot cut off dragging sail didnít work. With the correct gear it is sweet and loved it such a great bunch of people Mast track slipping I hope Marmong turns it on this weekend.

Thanks Maree.  I've gone back to the beginning with gybing and I'm trying a lot of new things so it's back to beginnersville..Yell

The wind is better this year so I'm sailing in >18kts  and getting less low wind practise.

Come to think of it I think I wasn't that great in over 18kts pre injury..LaughingEmbarassed

Sorry to hear that someone you care about is dying Sue. Maree is right - you're an awesome sailor and you are right - you are definitely too hard on yourself. I wish I could lend you my gybes for a while to help you appreciate how amazing yours are Wink It's so good to see you back out there after injury enjoying the awesomeness that is windsurfing Cool
