Trojan (8560km): ![]() Mackay, QLD, AU Cyclone Jasper is bringing a little bit of breeze, so got out with Sailpilot for a morning run while tide was there. Wind all over the place and swapped boards 5 times, but settled into a nice blast at the end. Typical NQ chop, so felt a lot faster than the numbers show. 6.5 Ezzy, Windtech 72, Fox 105, Windtech 72, Phil's Patrik 115 Slalom, Fox 105. Sailing fitness lacking.
Billy (10673km): ![]() Green Island, QLD, AU Last session on Green for 23. Wind just didnt play ball today. Up and down like a yoyo and no real strength to be had. Last of the tide was 1.2m at midday, but the Deltas have just opened up a whole new ability to use the flats. I wouldnt go any lower than 1.2m myself, as it wasnt with out the odd crunch Plently of wildlife out in crystal clear waters - big GT's busting up the schooling mullet. Sailed with Ed and B2 today who were just on fire. Fitness was a telling point today - with the excessive company lunches and dinners taking a toll on mine Next stop , Lake George in Jan 24. hopefully 2 full weeks of nothinb but sailing. Used: CA 108SL, 7.0m ODM1, Pepe Delta 21. Cheers.
Benny McCarthy (15255km): ![]() Green Island, QLD, AU Perhaps the calm before the Storm... Breeze lighter than expected. Anything from 13~18kn SE/ESE, up & down + very confused swell coming through against the wind. Still all good fun with great company! Was awesome to see B1 back out on the water!! Had some nice cruisy runs with Ed who was looking pretty sharp on the Fox!!! Gotta love the Delta fins enabling more TOW with the 1.2 Midday low tide. We all decided to catch the early boat home. Ed had his usual quadruple scoop gelato cup to carry him through for the drive back to PD Used the ol' Exocet 100lt 67W, Severne 7.8 M4, Tribal SW 31/Delta 22 "Long May our Big Jibs Draw!"
Eddy (24342km): ![]() Green Island, QLD, AU..Yeah had a quick Gi session with the boys wanted to get one more session in before the end of the year..Hasn't sure what the wind was gunna do,rigged no cam 7m on 105 Fox 38cm fin..Only got a few runs on the drag strip and i got my eviction notice, go play in the big pool or loose a fin as tide was dropping fast..So i spent most of my session chop hopping out the front which was really good fun and Fox ran sweet the whole session..Wind was a bit up and down but it was still a good fun session with some nice waves to play on out the back..It didn't take long for Billy to get his MoJo back after being off the water for awhile , good to see him have some fun and he was sailing well..Had some fun drags with Benny who went hard all the whole session and never put a foot wrong...And he came home with 'Man of The Match'.well done mate... Fun day out with great company..Guess it was worth rigging up for cheers Ed..
