Started at Coods but it chopped up fairly quickly, decided to go to Liptons. Big crew out so was fun. Chopped up by late arvo, probably not as strong as predicted either but the big boys still managed some good speeds.

Got there and it looked a bit troughy... Stropp and Stretch fanging around already. Rigged 6.6m Omaha 3 cam and Radix 88 slalom with 25 weedspeed since there was a bit of water... First run over to Pt Gray was promising and then it died when I got there. Took a while to get planing but there were some gusts coming through here and there so persisted. Had to get lucky with the gusts. Came in for a drink and chat with the other guys who finished. Wind booted then it started raining (!) so went back out after the rain stopped... sick gust on the way down! hit 39kts heading out from the carpark. But then it shut down again back to what it was before. I got one more 10sec to bring av up by 0.1... Did one alpha just down from the carpark- good fun when theres a bit of chop around! Min speed just under 16kts on that one. Kept sailing hoping for another gust. Got 5 2sec runs over 40 so pretty happy with that. Vmax 42.8kts... Ben got visited by some dolphins up pretty close- At first though it might have been something else with a fin... great day. Loving all the new gear...
