Sailquik (29582km): Lake George, Sth Australia.
Interesting day on the water. VERY gusty up the SE end of the lake. The 'Lucky Gust' was very much at play today.
To get into flat water it was very shallow. I ran aground at the end of my first run and that was the best speed of the day. I followed Mark into another grounding. I knew it going to happen but I knew he would hit first and warn me. All good. I just wanted to sail the small board and sail today. There was definitly enough wind in the gusts, but most of the time I was quite underpowered. It was hard work, but fun. Very interesting the subtle differences another sail and mast combo sets. I feel like I am back to scratch with the tuning, but I'll get there. At least Kato's CA40 fit me like an old glove. Lots of people on the water in a pretty confined area, so it was fun to watch people screaming past!! I'm completely stuffed. Not much sailing fitness at all. Big thanks to Choco for the boom. It works great for me. (once I learned how to rig the adjustable outhaul ) Kato's CA40 and Nuclear 15.5cm fin, 2021 KA Koncept Speed.
