Lake Bolac, VIC, AU - Bonus sail #11 of the trip. What a great way to exit lake G dreamland, straight into another - lake B dreamland.
The wind was up and down, but in a good way, pulsing for whole runs rather than gusty. Smooth and powerful when it was there.

Jordans mentioned a whole bunch of places when leaving lake George, i only heard two words for some reason - Lake Bolac. Awesome.
Nice launch spot, heaps of them.
Slightly sketchy as i don’t know much about the place. Was pretty sure it was deep enough until i hit something.
Being green water like lake George now, couldn’t see shit. Maybe a stick.

Marmong Pt

Mistral Devil Formula Board - Axis HA1000 - Neil Pryde 8.2m V8

Thanks to Ian for lending me a Mini Motion while I wait for my own.

Finally get to join the group with some data.

Great way to spend a Roster Day with one of my best foil runs of about 3km and trying to follow Tibor and Ian.

Thanks to the regular crew at Marmong Pt who are just the best group to be involved with.

I was looking at that on the way down and wondering what it would be like. Submerged objects would probably worry me.

Dave, Jordans and I camped there last year on or way to LG I wingfoiled and it was deep enough off the north beach but I found some rocks to the east of the point. Mark windsurfed but we found it being a inland lake it was too gusty but it was good to try some where new.

I spoke to one local, an old bloke. He said he was partly responsible for the sign coming into town ‘home of water sports’. And yes he said shallow over the eastern side 🤣 Lovely spot. I was lucky, the wind was nice when I was there. Yes up and down, but nice. Discovering a new spot was a big rush.
