Coodanup, WA, AU. Woz gonna stay local as the wind down south was not following strong forecast at all.  Suddenly dial read 22knots so decided to risk it as tide was good, sun was out.  Seems Boz had the same idea and had arrived a few minutes earlier.  Rigged 5.7 as Boz had immediately got going on that but wind soon died off.  Went with the big board instead of changing sail sizes as looked liked a chug fest but if it came in didn't want to get wiped out.   Was a chug fest but managed to get to top of run ahead of Boz when the squall of a century hit.  Was perfectly in position on the run, dead flat water when it peaked, but I enabled Colonel Sanders full chicken mode, unhooked and took up the full pooh stance as was far too strong but still peak speed.  The wind eased off a bit and what followed was a really enjoyable but short sail in the sun under a double rainbow.  Puking I didn't have cameras on me as was quite sureal.   Wind died and I decided to chug on out and left Boz to it.  iSonic 97, KAR 5.7, FF22 Warp V2

Melville

Short blast at melville- looked good when I got there- wind just came in so rigged with AlAl and went for a quick blast.

118 7.0m 34MK3

Was a bit on and off, but got two short bullets on the first few runs off Majestic point for vmax of 37. Wooohooo...

Then the wind dropped out and I waited for the squall on the sand bar. Was fully lit at the start and sending it sitting between 35 to 37 through the middle of the river... holding on for a NM PB... but the wind had other ideas- past the halfway point and still smoking then the wind got more broad, choppier, and windier. I held on for as long as I could but just not long enough to get the NM. Last 10 seconds was full poo stance survival mode. 30kts wind with a 7m and chop in the rain is pretty heavy... Made it back to the sandbar before it switched off and I had to float back in.

The start of NM run was a 36.8kt 10s, with 37.1 2sec... Full power!

Got to the car to find it had locked itself with the keys in... doh. Bummed a lift of Stuart who'd finished winging at just the tight time to get the spare. What a legend.

Noice one Boz, I was almost tempted myself when I noticed the graph spike around lunch time but decided against it. 👍
