Coodanup, WA, AU. Valuable rigging practice day.  Started early at Boombas with delusions of distance thanks to the forecast.  Dial was suggesting small gear but wind hadn't arrived so rigged medium gear.  Just got going on this but after a couple of runs became a chug fest and came in to change to big gear.  Just put the downhaul on the 8.6 when a huge gust of 25-30kts came through.  Only lasted 1 minute and wind eased off, got out on the small gear and by the time turned around was chug fest again.  Boz arrived and declared should be better at Coods so we headed there.  Rigged for the forecast with 5.7 and could barely get planing.  Boz somehow managed to get 31kts in this no wind so frustrated I came in to change to 7m and a big fin knowing I'd get wiped out if the wind came in as forecast.  Wind didn't come but at least picked up enough to get a bit of a sail in.  iSonic 97, KAR 7, TWS 31

Sneaky lunch break sail. Squall came through as I scoffed a meat pie and was thinking 7m since it had been pretty good in the gusts. After the previous sail I decided to go big because I don't like floating around. Was a good call because the gusts didn't come back. Had a pleasant cruise before back to work. Tide was up so went wherever I wanted, and there was some chop around as a result which makes it a bit more interesting.
