155 days ago 1 categories Point Grey, WA, AU. Nice day in the sun with Boz and Windxtasy in weedberg city. Haven't seen Boombas this flat for a long time and acres of the stuff. Missed the first spike in wind Boz had scored and went out on medium kit in the small lull but the wind soon kicked in. Some brutal over the handle bar tugs meant I came in to switch to smallest fin I had and small board, considered changing sail size down but glad I didn't as only lasted another 1/2 hr or so but it was fun playing dogems around the brutal bergs. Windxtasy came out and wind dropped right off, was still sailable but periods of chugging. Eventually turned into chug fest and came in. I got the feeling there might be three wind spikes today and after a while the wind picked up a bit and went out on the aircraft carrier board and the small fin..this was a dogs breakfast getting to the flats but nice once in the near glass...the Pelicans were standing around on the weedbergs by now which is slightly offputting...wind didn't really eventuate so we called it. We all said it would boot when we all got to the freeway and sure enough it did...4pm on the money...would have been epic and even flater with the lower tide...iSonic97+FF22WV1 then iSonic86+FF18V4 with KAR7

Probably flatest I've seen Boombas, took out the frankenstein 98L Tabou. Forgot how much fun larger slalom boards are. Rigged for the condition at the time so had the 7.1 up was fun pairing it with the 98L board. Great to see Anita giving it go. Flex and I played down the bottom end with dodge em weedburgs on the speed run. I was surprised to see my top speed wasn't down at the bottom of Boombas but out wide. When the tides at .7 the outside patch is flat and some nice bullets..
Tabou Manta 98, KAR 7.1
